For the past 40 years Cameron Lee Bennett has continuously reinvented his craft - taking time-honored art forms and turning them on their head to produce one of a kind's. The beginning of the eighties recognized the end of Cameron's shaker furniture period and gave way to his carving exploration. Armed with an electric Drummel, Cameron quickly fell in love with the intense detailing of decorative waterfowls. The combination of airbrush, wood burning and carving helped produce a wondrous journey of duck decoys to Cameron's collection. Affectionately known as The Duck Days, Cameron was introduced at this time to the world of competitive carving. Three years in a row his work placed with blue ribbons at the Ward World Competition in Ocean City, Maryland.
